Mission Statement:
Maintain coordination of AstroDay Festivals in Hilo for perpetuity
*The Institute will facilitate the coordination and promotion of AstroDay fairs and other astronomical outreach programs and events every year
Creation and maintenance of an observatory resource "Clearinghouse"
*A service to help coordinate speaking engagements and classroom visitations for observatory personnel with educational institutions
*Many observatory personnel want to get involved with the community and schools, but organizations have no time or staff to commit to this task
*Many schools and teachers would like to have more institutions and organizations get involved with outreach, but have no contacts or time
